So, with a few early finishers and most of the students still working on their rainforest collages, I needed an easy to set up project that wouldn’t interfere with the collage work. This project was perfect and taught about drawing buildings in 3-D. I first passed out an inspiration sheet with pictures of famous sky scrapers. We then discussed 2-D vs 3-D. I then demonstrated drawing the sky scrapers on the board. I let them create their own details and stories to make their cities their own. The white buildings were drawn last and glued to their colored drawings. I love seeing how students saw a big city in their minds and how they made their drawings unique.
