For our last class of the session, my K-2nd grade students painted Mr. Tiger portraits. We started out by reading Mr Tiger Goes Wild by Peter Brown. Then we cut out Mr. Tiger’s suit and glued it down. Using Peter Brown’s illustrations for inspiration, we drew the tiger’s head and facial features. We talked about all the different expressions we could give our tigers. Finally, we painted our tigers with puck tempera paint and added his top hat. Super fun project to end the session with! And super cute tigers!
