Today we read The Fantastic Undersea Life of Jacques Cousteau , by Dan Yaccarino.  Then we did an underwater collage.  We started by drawing a scuba diver and painting him using tempera paint.  Then we drew underwater animal and plant life with Sharpies and colored them with chalk pastels. We then used the chalk pastel to create waves on blue paper.  After our collage parts were glued down, we topped everything off with a glittery glaze.

I really did not expect to finish this today.  Both classes worked really fast!
