For our last class of the year, I wanted to do something loose and fun. I’ve been wanting to do this one for awhile. Fred Babb was an artist from California. I purchased a book of his posters and placed some of them on the board. They are all bright and loose portraits and feature an inspirational message about art and creativity. In keeping with one of Babb’s messages “Art Breaks the Rules,” I really left this project open with very little structure. I only asked that it be a portrait, that the colors be bright, and that it include a positive message about art. I love what they came up with! I told them they could use Mr. Babb’s message or make up their own. Most made up their own, and they were wonderful! This really was a fun project for the last day.
