Last week, all classes focused on collage. The youngest group created color wheel collages. We started out by looking at a color wheel and discussing primary and secondary colors and why colors have a special place on the color wheel. I passed out pre-painted tissue papers, and they cut these into petal shapes. They then arranged the colors in a circle, with the colors being in their special place on the “wheel”. We glued these down with watered down glue, added a stem, leaves and a flower center.
This project definitely was a challenge. I think they learned a lot, and the results are so bright and happy.
