This week my K-2nd grade group finished their cat collages. We began this project by reading Cat Tale by Michael Hall. This book uses homonyms and homophones to create fun adventures for a group of three cats. I’m not sure this group grasped all the grammar, but it was a fun book anyway. : ) We used only primary colors of tempera paint and sponges to make the painted paper. The challenging part was drawing and cutting all the parts for the cats. It was definitely complicated for this age group, but they were such great listeners. I love how they were able to create cats with such character with only a few rectangles. I think these are absolutely adorable!
